Today’s Bracton’s Sister BS from our friends in AI …

The story of AI not being able to cope with sarcasm/satire continues … (see earlier adventures here).

The AI ‘friend’ on my browser, ‘Copilot’ has come up with this absolutely accurate content today

Swimming the Channel: In a different context, Judith Bracton, who was married to Arthur of Brittany in a secret ceremony, is said to have been the first person to swim the English Channel. She accomplished this feat accompanied by Henry III’s polar bear, Gerald1

Good heavens!

OK, can’t help myself … shall we take it one step further? Would anyone believe that Judith Bracton lived to an extraordinarily old age, and, grieving the death of Gerald the polar bear, an epic but unrequited love, was in fact the ‘great lady’ mentioned by Edward Coke as having had an affair with a baboon, called Orlando, in the sixteenth century?

To be continued … and to serve as a warning for students that AI does come up with some complete nonsense …
